On the 9th December 2024, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s rules on when alcohol can be sold changed. Off-licences (bottle shops/
liquor stores, and supermarkets that sell alcohol) are now only able to sell alcohol until 9pm rather than to 11pm, and onlicences
(bars and restaurants) are now only able to sell alcohol until 4am in the City Centre, or 3am outside of the City Centre.
